On May 25, 2023, on the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Dormition Cathedral in London. With the blessing of the Rector of the church, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, the divine service was led by the Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, sacristan of the Cathedral, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko. His Reverence was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Priest Vasily Gandzyuk, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, and Deacon Viktor Nikiforov.

A pilgrimage to the tomb of St. John of Beverley

With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, on Saturday, May 20, 2023, parishioners of the diocesan district of Northern England and Wales made an annual pilgrimage to Beverley, Yorkshire, to the resting place of St. John of Beverly (+721).

This year, the pilgrimage coincided with the day of remembrance of the Holy Saint of God.

The pilgrimage group was headed by Priest Anatoly Vikhrov, Rector of the parishes of St.Xenia of St.Petersburg in Leeds, of the Presentation of the Lord in Bradford, Sts. Equal to the Apostles  Constantine and Helena in York, and of the Nativity of Christ in Kingston upon Hull.
