« Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Liturgy at the diocesan children's camp of St. Seraphim of Sarov »

On August 1, 2025, on the feast of the uncovering of the relics of St. Seraphim (1903), the miracle worker of Sarov, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh visited the St. Seraphim Orthodox Children's Summer Camp of the Sourozh Diocese, where he celebrated the Divine Liturgy.
His Grace was assisted at the service by Dean of the Diocesan District of Central England Archpriest Stephen Platt, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch and Deacon Alexei Kostyanovsky.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the children's and youth choir under the direction of Anna Platt.
After the dismissal of the Liturgy, the Archpastor and the concelebrating clergy performed a prayerful glorification before the icon of St. Seraphim of Sarov with a particle of his holy relics. Then, Archpriest Stefan Platt addressed Bishop Matthew with a welcoming speech on behalf of the camp participants. Father Stefan warmly thanked Vladyka for his archpastoral visit and the joy of joint prayer. In turn, Bishop Matthew congratulated those present in English on the patronal feast of the camp and addressed the participants in the divine service with words of sermon and spiritual edification. In memory of the service, Bishop Matthew presented to Father Stefan the latest edition of the service book in the analogion format in Church Slavonic.
Vladyka shared his personal impressions of the celebration of the glorification of Saint Righteous Olga of Kvetluk (Alaska), which took place on June 22, 20025, on the feast of All Saints in the Russian and American Lands, in the St. Innocent Cathedral of the Orthodox Church in America in Anchorage, Alaska, USA.
In conclusion, sweet gifts were given to the young camp participants as a gift from the Dormition Cathedral in London. All those present received icons of the newly glorified Saint Olga.
