On the day of the 1037th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus, the parishes of the Sourozh Diocese joined the church-wide bell ringing of "Glory to Thee, God!" »

On July 28, 2025, on the day of remembrance of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir and the 1037th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus, festive services were held in the parishes of the Sourozh Diocese. With the blessing of His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus', and His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, the Dormition Cathedral in London and St.St. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Dublin, the main churches of the Russian Orthodox Church in Great Britain and Ireland, rang out the bell ringing of "Glory to Thee, God!", which is performed on this day at noon local time in all Orthodox churches and monasteries of the Russian Orthodox Church.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, solemn molebens were served in the churches according to a special rite, and the clergy addressed the parishioners with a sermon on the theme of the feast.
Since 2012, the tradition of ringing the bells at once, to mark the day of the Baptism of Rus, and as a call to common church prayer has united millions of Orthodox believers living in the canonical territory of the Moscow Patriarchate and in countries near and far abroad.
