On December 4, 2022, on the feast of the Entry into the Temple of Our Most Holy Lady Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England, Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, and Protodeacon Gennady Stets.
Liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the Dormition Cathedral under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
After the augmented litany, a prayer for peace was proclaimed.
At the end of the divine service, the glorification of the feast of the Entry into the Temple of the Most Holy Mother of God was performed, after which His Grace Bishop Matthew addressed the clergy and parishioners with words of sermon and spiritual edification.
In turn, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, on behalf of the clergy, staff, volunteers, and parishioners of the Dormition Cathedral, warmly congratulated Vladyka Matthew on the recent day of his hierarchical consecration and his namesday, and, on behalf of all those present, presented the Archpastor with a bouquet of flowers and a valuable gift.
