On August 28, 2019, on the feast day of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God, feast day of the London Cathedral, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh headed the Divine Liturgy in the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Archpriest Nikolai Prescure, Priest Dmitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Priest Anatoly Vikhrov, Priest Alexander Menshikov, Priest Ioann Kazadoev, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, Deacon Vladimir Kastravet and Deacon Victor Nikiforov.
Liturgical chants were sung by the choir of the Cathedral under the direction of M.V. Bezmenova.
At the small entrance, the Right Reverend Vladyka, taking into account the diligent pastoral work, honored the right to wear the nabedrennik to priest Alexander Menshikov, rector of the parish of St. Macarius of Aberdeen in the city of Aberdeen and of the church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God in the city of Dundee.
 
After the Divine Liturgy, a procession with glorification to the feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God took place on the Cathedral Square.
At the end of the service, Vladyka Matthew congratulated those present with the patronal feast of the Cathedral and addressed everyone with a word of edification.  The Archpastor thanked the priests who arrived to share the joy of the feast day from Ireland, Scotland and Northern England and wished the clergy and parishioners of the Cathedral the heavenly intercession of the Mother of God - a fortress of spiritual and bodily strength.
For diligent service for the benefit of the Church of Christ, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, cleric of the Dormition Cathedral in London, was awarded Patriarchal medal "In memory of the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the Patriarchate in the Russian Orthodox Church."
