On August 27, 2019, on the eve of the feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served an all-night vigil in the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Dean of the Diocesan District of the South-West of England, Priest Dmitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, Deacon Anthony Ivashin and Deacon Victor Nikiforov.
Liturgical chants were sung by the choir of the Cathedral under the direction of M.V. Bezmenova.
At the Matins, the Right Reverend Vladyka, together with the serving clergy, carried out a shroud with the image of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God, from the altar to the middle of the church, for veneration.
