« Archbishop Elisун makes a pastoral visit to the parish in Derby »

On Sunday 11 September, the feast day of the Beheading of St John the Baptist, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh made a pastoral visit to Derby (East Midlands Deanery) and celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the parish of St. David of Wales.

At the end of the service the Diocesan Hierarch greeted the Rector, Archpriest Daniel Joseph, and all the members of the parish gathered for worship. In turn, Fr Daniel on behalf of the those expressed gratitude to the archbishop for his pastoral visitation and read out a letter of greeting addressed to His Eminence from the head of the judiciary and Derbyshire County Council, Lord Lieutenant William Tucker and his deputy, Deputy Lieutenant Professor Jonathan Powers.
