« The Patriarchal Metochion in Dublin receives its new rector, Fr Michael Nasonov »

On April 30 a meeting of the Administrative Council of the St Peter and St Paul Patriarchal Metochion in Dublin took place at the Metochion, under the chairmanship of Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh, who is the administrator of the Metochion. At the meeting, the responsibilities of rector were transferred from the Archpriest Michael Gogolev to the new rector - Priest Michael Nasonov, who has been appointed to this position by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Archpriest Michael Gogolev has been appointed by Archbishop Elisey as Acting Dean of the West Midlands deanery of the Sourozh Diocese, Rector of the parishes of All Saints of Britain in Birmingham and Sts. Peter and Paul in Portsmouth (Hampshire); he will also act as Assistant Priest at the Parish of the Holy Trinity  in Bristol (Avon).

In the evening, the Archbishop celebrated the Vigil Service in the church of St.  Peter and St. Paul. The following day, the second Sunday of Pascha - Thomas Sunday -  he celebrated the Divine Liturgy. During the little entrance Priest Nikolai Evseev, a clergyman of the metochion,  was awarded a hierarchical award - the right to wear the epigonation. At the end of the Liturgy of the new rector was presented to the parishioners of the metochion, and Fr Michael Gogolev said farewell to the Dublin congregation. Archbishop Elisey presented hierarchical gramotas to the former rector and to a number of active parishioners.
