On August 4, 2026, the 23rd anniversary of the repose of Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom), Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated a memorial service (panikhida) at the grave of the ever-memorable founder of the Sourozh diocese.
His Grace was assisted by the Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, and diocesan clergy. The diaconal order was led by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
The funeral hymns were sung by the choir of the London Dormition Cathedral under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
Parishioners of the cathedral, spiritual children, and admirers of Vladyka Anthony prayed at the service.
After the memorial service, Bishop Matthew addressed those gathered with a sermon. He warmly thanked everyone for their common prayer on this memorable day and urged them to carefully preserve the spiritual legacy of Metropolitan Anthony.
