An Orthodox pilgrimage to the place of service of St. Botolph of Iken (7th century) in Suffolk »

On June 27, 2026, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Priest Evgeny Selensky, Dean of the East Anglia Diocesan District, took part in the annual pilgrimage to the place of ascetic labours of St. Botolph (Botulf) of Iken († after 653) in the village of Iken, Suffolk.
The pilgrimage was organized by Priest Mark Tattum-Smith (ROCOR), rector of the parish of the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in Mettingham. Archpriest Vladimir Dyachenko (ROCOR), rector of the parish of the Holy Martyr King Edmund in Bury-St Edmunds, also took part in the pilgrimage.
The pilgrimage program included a moleben with an akathist to St. Botolph and a talk by Priest Mark about the life, asceticism, and educational work of this saint of the ancient Church.
The pilgrimage concluded with a fraternal meal and fellowship between the clergy and laity.
