On February 1, 2026, on the Sunday of the Publican and the Pharisee, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Dormition Cathedral in London. 

On this day, the Russian Orthodox Church prayerfully commemorates the 17th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus'. Prayers are offered in all churches and monasteries for the Primate of the Church, elected to the Moscow Patriarchal Throne at the 2009 Local Council. 

His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England Archpriest Vitaly Polischuk, Archpriest Nikita Kozlov, Priest Vasily Gandzyuk, Priest Alexander Kapustin, Protodeacon Ioann Sylnyk, and Deacon Nektariy Baska. 

The liturgical hymns were performed by the Dormition Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov. 

After the Litany of Fervent Supplication, Bishop Matthew offered a prayer for the granting of peace. Following the dismissal of the Liturgy, Bishop Matthew addressed the clergy and parishioners with words of sermon and spiritual edification.
