On the evening of September 26, 2025, on the eve of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England; Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh; Archpriest Nikita Kozlov; Priest Alexander Kapustin; Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch; and Deacon Nectarius Baska.
The Cathedral Choir, under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov, performed the liturgical hymns.
During the evening service, Bishop Matthew performed the litiya with the blessing of the loaves, wheat, wine, and oil.
After the Great Doxology, while singing "Holy God," the Right Reverend Archpastor brought the Cross out of the altar and performed the Rite of the Exaltation of the Cross of the Lord in the center of the church on the bishop's cathedra.
At the conclusion of Matins, Bishop Matthew anointed the cathedral clergy and worshippers with blessed oil.
In recognition of his church work, Mikhail Kuznetsov was awarded the right to wear a cassock by Bishop Matthew.
