« Bishop Matthew begins Archpastoral Visit to the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA »

On May 20, 2025, the Interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA & Canada, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, arrived in New York.
At John F. Kennedy International Airport, the bishop was met by the acting Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes, Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov), and the head of the chancery, Priest Mark Rashkov.
During the visit, the archpastor will lead the patronal feast of the Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City, as well as the Convocation of the clergy and laity of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the repose of St. Patriarch Tikhon of Moscow and the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA.
On Memorial Day, Bishop Matthew will serve with the Primate of the Orthodox Church in America, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon, at St. Tikhon's Monastery in Pennsylvania. The bishop is accompanied on the trip by his personal secretary, Nikolai Trubnikov.
