« Blessing of Easter Foods at the Cathedral in London »

On April 19, 2025, the traditional blessing of Easter cakes (kulichi), paskhas, and eggs took place at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

Immediately following the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh read prayers on the ambo of the church to bless cheese, eggs, baked goods, and meat, and sprinkled the Easter offerings with holy water.

Throughout the day, the cathedral clergy continued to bless kulichi, paskhas, and eggs, which were traditionally brought for blessing by many Orthodox faithful from London and surrounding areas.
