« Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Matins of Great Friday with the reading of the twelve Passion Gospel »

On the evening of April 17, on the eve of Great Friday of Holy Week, the remembrance of the Holy and saving Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Matins with the reading of the twelve Passion Gospels in the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England Archpriest Vitaly Polischuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South West England Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, clergy of the UOC MP temporarily residing in the territory of the Sourozh Diocese, Priest Alexander Kapustin, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch and Deacon Nektariy Baska.
The liturgical chants were performed by the choir of the Dormition Cathedral under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
At the end of the matins, the clergy and believers bowed to the Cross with the image of the Crucifixion of Christ.
At the end of the service, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko delivered a sermon.
