On August 4, 2023, on the 20th anniversary of the repose of Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served a panikhida at the grave of the ever-memorable founder of the Sourozh diocese.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, clergy of the Diocese of Sourozh, clergymen of the UOC, temporarily staying on the territory of the Diocese of Sourozh.
The diaconal rank was headed by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
The funeral hymns were performed by the choir of the Dormition Cathedral in London under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
The memorial service was attended by A.V. Kelin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Great Britain, diplomats of the Russian Embassy, parishioners of the Dormition Cathedral in London, spiritual children and admirers of Metropolitan Anthony.
At the end of the service, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh addressed the audience. Vladyka warmly thanked everyone for their prayers on this solemn memorial day and expressed his hope for the continued preservation of the spiritual heritage of Metropolitan Anthony in the future.
