On July 25, 2023, Dean of the Diocesan District of East Anglia, Rector of the parish of St. Ephraim the Syrian in Cambridge, Archpriest Raphael Armour suddenly died at the age of 78.

His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, clergy and faithful of the Diocese of Sourozh express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of the newly departed Archpriest Raphael, as well as to the parishioners of the community of St. Ephraim the Syrian in Cambridge.

May the merciful Lord establish the soul of His servant, the newly-departed Archpriest Raphael, where the righteous rest, and make his memory to be eternal!
