On March 1, 2023, Wednesday of the first week of Great Lent, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at the Dormition Cathedral in London.His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England, Schemamonk Ilya (Larikov), Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Dean of the Diocesan District of South West England, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
Liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the Dormition Cathedral under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
At the end of the Liturgy, the Archpastor served a litiya for the departed and addressed the clergy and parishioners with words of sermon and spiritual edification.
On this day, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States and Canada, celebrates the 25th anniversary of his ministry in the holy rank. On behalf of the clergy, monastics and laity of the Diocese of Sourozh and the Patriarchal Parishes in North America, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the diocese, congratulated His Grace.
After congratulations, many years were proclaimed to Vladyka Matthew.
