On June 5, 2022, on the 7th Sunday after Easter, of the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council (325), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorodskoye, Moscow.
His Grace was assisted by archpriest Damian Kruglik, archpriest Andrey Karpenko, priest Mikhail Volkov and deacon Sergiy Kuznetsov.
A sermon, following the sacramental verse, was delivered by archpriest Andrei Karpenko.
In his speech after the Liturgy, Vladyka Matthew recalled the significance of today's feast - the memory of the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, thanks to whom we have the set of dogmas that is known to every Orthodox believer, including the dogmas of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit, resolution on the time of Easter celebration, etc.  His Grace Vladyka Matthew wished everyone to preserve and observe with gratitude the commandments given to us by the Holy Fathers and conveyed to us by their followers, reports the parish website of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorodskoye.
