On April 23, 2022, on Holy Saturday, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, celebrated Vespers in conjunction with the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorodskoye, Moscow.

His Grace was assisted by archpriest Damian Kruglik and the clergy of the church.

"During the sermon, following the communion verse, four altar servers received, through Vladyka Matthew, the blessing of Metropolitan Dionysius, First Vicar of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Chancellor of the Moscow Patriarchate, to wear a cassock, stikhar and orarion at the hierarchical services. At the end of the service, archpriest Damian Kruglik, Rector of the church, on behalf of all clergy, the Parish Council and the parishioners, presented Vladyka with a set of red bishop's vestments, in which Vladyka will serve on Pascha," reports the website of the Church of the Transfiguration in Bogorodskoye.

At the end of the divine service, Vladyka Matthew consecrated bread and wine and addressed the faithful with a sermon.
