« 40th anniversary of Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky's priesthood was prayerfully celebrated at the Dormition Cathedral in London »

On November 13, 2022, on the 22nd Sunday after Pentecost, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Dormition Cathedral in London. The divine service was headed by Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, clergyman of the Cathedral.
On November 14, 1982, Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh (Bloom) ordained Fr Maxim to the diaconate at the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity and the Annunciation of the Most Holy Mother of God in Oxford. Over the next 8 years, Father Maxim served as a deacon at the above-mentioned church as well as at St. Peter and St.Paul parish in Swindon. In 1990, Metropolitan Anthony ordained Father Maxim to the rank of presbyter. Since 2000, Father Maxim has been serving at the Dormition Cathedral in London, while remaining Rector of St.Peter and St.Paul Parish in Swindon and  of the Holy Martyr King Edward at Wimborne (Poole).
On the eve of the anniversary, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko warmly greeted Father Maxim with the feast and conveyed congratulations on behalf of the Rector of the Cathedral, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, presenting the jubilant with a holy prosphora and a bouquet of flowers.
