On October 28, 2022, on the feast day of St. Athanasius the Confessor, Bishop of Kovrov (1962), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporarily Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorodskoye, Moscow.
His Eminence was assisted by the clergy of the church, Priest Mikhail Volkov and Deacon Sergiy Kuznetsov.  Divine service was celebrated by the priestly rank.
After the Liturgy, His Grace Vladyka served a panikhida for the newly-departed cleric of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA, Mitred Archpriest Nikolai Babiychuk, who died after a long illness on October 20, 2022.
