On July 18, 2021, on the 4th Sunday after Pentecost, the feast of uncovering the venerable relics of St. Sergius, Abbot of Radonezh (1422) and the venerable martyrs Grand Duchess Elizabeth and nun Varvara Yakovleva (1918), His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, and protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the trio under the direction of the Cathedral's choir master Dmitry Tugarinov.
At the augmented litany, petitions were raised to get rid of the spread of the harmful epidemic - coronavirus infection.  Then His Grace Vladyka offered up a prayer, which is read during the spread of the harmful epidemic.
At the end of the service, the Archpastor addressed the clergy and parishioners of the Cathedral with words of a sermon and spiritual edification.
