On November 7, 2020, on the Demetrius' parental Saturday, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.His Grace was assisted by the Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
Following the prayer behind the ambo, Vladyka Matthew served a litia for all departed Orthodox Christians and addressed the believers with words of a sermon.
The service was broadcast live on the diocesan page Life of Sourozh on the social network Facebook.
Due to the state quarantine measures to combat the coronavirus epidemic, services in the churches of the Sourozh Diocese, including the Dormition Cathedral in London, are celebrated without the participation of parishioners, behind closed doors.
