On June 6, 2019, on the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Dean of the Diocesan District of the South-West of England, Archpriest Ioann Grigoritse, Archpriest Nikolai Preskure, Priest Dmitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevich and Deacon Victor Nikiforov.
The liturgical chants were sung by the Cathedral Choir directed by Marina Bezmenova.
After the prayer before the ambo, the Right Reverend Vladyka and the serving clergy sung glorification to the feast.
At the end of the service, Vladyka Matthew congratulated the clergy and parishioners of the Cathedral with the feast of Ascension and addressed all those present with words of spiritual edification, after which His Grace presented the Patriarchal awards.
In consideration of the hard work for the benefit of the Church of Christ and in connection with the 10th anniversary of serving as a presbyter, Archpriest Nikolai Preskure, Rector of the parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, was awarded with a Patriarchal diploma.
In connection with the 50th birthday and many years of work as Director of the parish school at the London Cathedral, churchwarden E.N. Poplavskaya was awarded with the medal of Saint Venerable Euphrosinya, Grand Duchess of Moscow.  
A.A. Marine, Head of the Legal Affairs Department of the Diocese of Sourozh, was awarded with Patriarchal medal "In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the Patriarchate in the Russian Orthodox Church" for his many years of diligent work in the Diocese of Sourozh, and on occasion of his birthday.
