On May 10, 2019, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and military service, who arrived from Russia to the Great Britain to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the Great Victory, visited the Dormition Cathedral of the Sourozh Diocese in the city of London.
With the blessing of Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, cleric of the Cathedral, met the guests.  During the meeting, Father Maxim spoke about the history of the Russian Orthodox presence on the British Isles and served a Panikhida for all "leaders and soldiers who laid their lives for faith and fatherland".
At the end of the meeting, veterans talked over the meal in the hall of the Cathedral and received souvenirs.
