On February 10, 2019, on the 37th Sunday after Pentecost, Commemoration Day of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Deacon Anthony Ivashin and Deacon Victor Nikiforov co-celebrated with the Right Reverend Vladyka.

The liturgical chants were sung by the Cathedral choir under the direction of M.V. Bezmenova.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace led the requiem Litiya for all the departed who suffered during the time of persecution for their faith in Christ.

In his sermon addressed to the clergy and congregation of the Cathedral, Vladyka drew attention to the need for a Christian spiritual feat and its importance in saving each Christian's soul.
