On January 23, 2019, on the feast day of St. Theophan the Recluse of Vysha, the memory of St.Theophan the Recluse was prayerfully honored at the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London.

Upon the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh led a prayer service before the icon of St. Theophan.

At the end of the divine service, His Grace addressed the parishioners with words of a sermon, paying particular attention to the life of the saint and his contribution as an ascetic of faith and piety, who had a profound influence on the spiritual revival of the society by his numerous writings, which can be seen by the children of the Church as a practical guide in Christian salvation.
