On December 13, 2018, during his official visit to Canada and the United States of America, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh visited the Patriarchal Metochion of St. Tikhon, the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, in Toronto, Canada.

The Most Reverend Vladyka was met by Archpriest Sergy Rasskazovsky, Rector of the church. Father Sergy acquainted Vladyka Matthew with the structure of the temple, spoke about the history of the parish and today's life of the community of the Russian Orthodox Church in Toronto.

On the same day, Vladyka Matthew visited a cemetery in Cooksvile, a suburb of Toronto, and served a litia at the tomb of Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna Romanova, sister of the last Russian Tsar- Passion-bearer Nicholas II, her spouse Colonel Nikolai Kulikovsky and their departed relatives.
