« Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh and Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch took part in the festivities on the occasion of the Name Day of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture »

On 24th May, the commemoration day of Ss Cyril and Methodius, Equal-to-the-Apostles (the Name Day of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia) and the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh and Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch, Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese of Sourozh, took  part in the solemn celebration of the Divine Liturgy, presided by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and His Holiness Patriarch Neophytos of Bulgaria at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.

Later that day, a concert on the occasion of the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture took place at Moscow Red Square. Festive concerts took place at the same time in many large cities of Russia as one All-Russian concert. The TV broadcast of the concert at Red Square included live broadcasts from different parts of the country. 

A festive reception was given later the same day in the Dining Chamber of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in honour of the Name Day of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.

A great number of hierarchs and clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church, delegations of the Local Orthodox Churches, representatives of the Local Orthodox Churches to the Moscow Patriarchate, heads of the departments of the Holy Synod, superiors of convents, and a delegation of the Orthodox youth of the capital took part in the festivities.
