 Pastoral and Liturgical issues

 Administrative Board

Taking into account the necessity of a better coordination of parish services, the Assembly agreed to establish an Administrative Board, supportive executive body incorporating the members responsible for different areas of activity of the Cathedral Parish.

 Parish Children School

Considering the issue of the spiritual education of children, members of the Assembly expressed their approval of the work of teachers of the Cathedral Parish School and nursary, as well as that of the organisers of children's concerts, performances, pilgrimages and other events which contribute to the spiritual upbringing of children.

Reconstruction of the Iconostasis, flooring and interior of the Cathedral

Whereas the architectural design for the reconstruction of the Iconostasis, flooring and interior of the Cathedral has been submitted to English Heritage and the local Council, the Assembly discussed how to prepare the parish for the forthcoming major changes to the interior of the Cathedral. Given the possibility of receiving permission for the works in September and the forthcoming 50th Anniversary of the Diocese of Sourozh, members of the Assembly considered the reasonability of commencing work immediately after receiving the necessary permission. Instead of launching the whole project the Assembly agreed that the works of the first stage including the reconstruction of the altar space and the Iconostasis should be completed first, leaving the rest of renovation to be continued after the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Diocese.
