On Thursday 9th September, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate visited the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God in London. Vladyka Hilarion was received by Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh, Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch, Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese of Sourozh, the the clergy and parishioners of the Cathedral - many of them remember Vladyka Hilarion from the time he served in the British Isles.
Metrapolitan Hilarion arrived in London on 7th September at the invitation of Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowen Williams to take part in the Festal Dinner given annually by The Nikaean Club and its President Archbishop of Canterbury at Lambeth Palace. Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh also attend The Nikaean Club’s Annual Dinner at Lambeth Palace.
