« Archbishop Hilarion of Volokolamsk visits the Diocesan Cathedral in London »

On Sunday, the 1st of November, Archbishop Hilarion of Volokolamsk, the Chairman of the Department of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, who came to London to participate in a conference, visited the Cathedral of the Diocese of Sourozh.

Archbishop Hilarion lit a candle in front of the Icon of All Saints who shone forth in the Land of Britain and venerated the altar in the Cathedral, where his spiritual guide, the ever-memorable Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom) served.

Vladyka Hilarion was received in the Cathedral by Bishop Elisey of Sourozh and clergy of the Cathedral. The talks that followed were joined by the Cathedral sacristan Archpriest Michael Dudko. Issues discussed were the co-operation between the DECR and the Sourozh diocese in a wide range of activities, including the development of the Orthodox mission on British soil.
