On August 27, 2026, on the eve of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of Our Lord and the Virgin Mary, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States and Canada, celebrated the all-night vigil at St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City, assisted by the cathedral clergy.

At the polyeleos, the Shroud of the Mother of God was brought out for veneration by the faithful. After the Gospel reading, the Archpastor anointed the clergy and parishioners with blessed oil.
