On the eve of the feast day of the holy apostles Peter and Paul, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at Dormition Cathedral in London »

On the evening of July 11, 2026, on the eve of the feast day of the glorious and all-praiseworthy chief apostles Peter and Paul, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at Dormition Cathedral in London.

His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England; Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh; Archpriest Nikita Kozlov; Priest Alexander Kapustin; and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.

The liturgical hymns were performed by the Dormition Cathedral Choir under the direction of Anna Kobrina.

During the polyeleos, a reliquary containing great Christian relics—a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos, and particles of the holy relics of God's chosen saints—was brought from the altar to the center of the church.

During the evening service, Bishop Matthew performed the litiya with the blessing of the loaves, wheat, wine, and oil. During Matins, after the reading of the Gospel, the Archpastor anointed the worshipers with blessed oil.
