On the evening of March 25, 2026, the eve of Thursday of the 5th week of Great Lent, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated Matins with the reading of the Great Canon of Repentance of St. Andrew of Crete at Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky; Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England; Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh; Archpriest Nikita Kozlov; Priest Alexander Kapustin; and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the Dormition Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
The hymns of the Great Canon of Repentance were read in Church Slavonic and English.
The sermon following the service was delivered by Archpriest Dmitry Nedostupenko.
