« A Christmas tree festival was celebrated at the parish school of the Dormition Cathedral in London »

On January 10, 2026, a Christmas tree festival was celebrated at St. Elizabeth the Martyr Children's Parish School of the Dormition Cathedral in London.

The event was prepared by the students, teachers, and parents of the school. Before the performance, the school's principal, E.N. Poplavskaya, delivered a welcoming speech. The festive program consisted of two parts.

The first featured a play based on Sasha Cherny's Christmas story "The Christmas Angel." The main themes of the production were acts of mercy and Christian moral values. The school's students, their parents, and teachers participated in the theatrical performance.

In the second part of the celebration, the children recited Christmas poems, and a children's choir under the direction of M.V. Bezmenova-Nikolau performed Christmas carols.

Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky addressed all those present with congratulatory words.Father Maxim emphasised that mercy and helping others are very important in the life of every Christian. The priest thanked the teachers and parents for preparing the celebration and noted the wonderful performance of the young artists and choir members.

At the end of the festive event, all students were presented with sweet gifts.
