« On the eve of the 21st Sunday after Pentecost, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at Dormition Cathedral in London »

On the evening of November 1, 2025, on the eve of the 21st Sunday after Pentecost, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at Dormition Cathedral in London.

His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh; Priest Alexander Kapustin; Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, and Protodeacon Ion Silnic.

The Cathedral Choir, directed by Dmitry Tugarinov, performed the liturgical hymns. During the polyeleos, a reliquary containing great Christian relics - a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos, and particles of the holy relics of God's chosen saints - was brought from the altar to the center of the church.

At Matins, after the Gospel reading, Bishop Matthew anointed the clergy and worshippers with holy oil.
