« On the eve of the 20th Sunday after Pentecost, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at Dormition Cathedral in London »

On the evening of October 25, 2025, on the eve of the 20th Sunday after Pentecost, the feast day of the Holy Fathers of the Seventh Ecumenical Council and the feast of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at Dormition Cathedral in London.

His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England; Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh; Archpriest Nikita Kozlov; Priest Vasily Gandzyuk; Priest Alexander Kapustin; and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.

The Cathedral Choir, directed by Dmitry Tugarinov, performed the liturgical hymns. During the polyeleos, a reliquary containing great Christian relics - a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos, and particles of the holy relics of God's chosen saints - was brought from the altar to the center of the church.

At Matins, after the Gospel reading, Bishop Matthew anointed the clergy and worshippers with holy oil.
