On October 16, 2025, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk of the Diocese of Sourozh participated in the annual meeting of the international Anglican-Oriental Orthodox Commission (AOOIC), which took place at St. Andrew-by-the-Wardrobe Anglican Church in the City of London.
This year, the event was organized by the Coptic Archdiocese of Great Britain, whose primate, Archbishop Anba Angaelos, expressed gratitude to the representatives of the Church of England, the Roman Catholic Church, the Local Orthodox Churches, the Oriental Orthodox Churches, and other religious associations in Great Britain who attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Archbishop Angaelos addressed the participants with a brief message, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between traditional Christian denominations in the area of charitable work.
Separately, the priorities of spiritual and social support for immigrants forced to leave their home countries due to wars and social upheavals were discussed. They plan to join Christian communities and connect their future with life in the UK.
