PILGRIMAGE TO SAINTS OF HOLY ISLAND OF KERKERA (CORFU)

With the blessing of His Eminence Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, a pilgrimage to the Holy Island of Kerkera (Corfu) will be organised in 2019/2020. The pilgrims would be able to participate in festivities, Liturgy and venerate relics of St Spiridon, visit many saints and monasteries of the Holy Island.

The program of the pilgrimage by the day is as follows:

1st day. Arrival to Corfu, 9:00. 

Hotel, Rest, dinner.

2nd day . Packed meal (to be eaten after Liturgy). Convent of Mother of God of Kassopitra, meeting with Archimandritus Polikarp, spiritual Son of St Paisius. Veneration of relics of St Arsenius of Kappadokias. Convent of Holy Martyr St Euphemia. Church of Mother of God of Vlaherne. Coming back to hotel. Dinner.

3rd day. Breakfast. St Spiridon Cathedral, veneration of relics of St Spiridon. Visiting places associated with Andmiral Theodor Ushakov, venerated as Saint, the saviour of Corfu. Prayer service near monument to St Theodore Ushakov.  Visit to Cathedral of St Theodora to venerate her relics (she is major Saint who saved Orthodoxy from Iconoclasm). Veneration of relics of St Yanson and St Sosipatra - Apostles of the Seventy in the oldest church in Corfu (XII century).

Coming back to hotel. Dinner.

4th day. Breakfast. Trip to the Monastery of Paleokostritsa, visiting Life Giving Spring. Monastery of St Paraskeva of Rome, martyr of the II century. Veneration of relics of St Paraskeva and her Wonder-working Icon. Visit to the mens Monastery of Agios Kiriaki, womens monastery of Pantokrator, womens monastery of St Dimitrius, womens skit of Pantokrator Kamarela.

Coming back to hotel. Dinner.

5th day.. Packed meal (to be eaten after Liturgy). Lithurgy on the The Feast day in St Spiridon Cathedral.  Free time.

6th day. Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport (for the flight at 14:50 to London).

Notes:

The cost ofthe pilgrimage @£600, but final price may be lower, depending on the number of participants.

The hotel would be 5 stars in the centre of Town, 2-3 people in the room, Breakfast and Dinner. 

Minibus, Orthodox Guide will accompany our group throughout. Priest from our Diocese will lead the pilgrimage. What is not included is plus air tickets.

PILGRIMAGE TO JERUSALEM 3-10/11/2015

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh, a pilgrimage to the Holy Land will be organised from 3 to 10 November 2015.

Departure from Gatwick Airport will be on Tuesday 3 November at 10:10am, arriving at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel-Aviv at 5:15pm.  The flight EZY8817 is operated by EasyJet.

EasyJet return flight EZY8818 from Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv) will be on Tuesday 10, November at 6.10pm, arriving at Gatwick Airport at 21:45.

Estimated cost of the trip approximately £900

Accommodation in the hotel in Bethlehem and Tiberias.

Departure from Gatwick Airport will be on Thursday 30 October at 12:50, arriving at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel-Aviv at 19:55.  The flight 8817 is operated by EasyJet.

EasyJet return flight 2084 from Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv) will be on Friday 7, November at 16.55, arriving at Luton Airport at 20:30.

PILGRIMAGE TO THE MONASTERY OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST IN ESSEX ON 24 SEPTEMBER 2014

On the blessing of His Emminence Archbisop Elisey, on 24 September 2014, the day of memory of saint venerable Silouan of Athos, spiritual father of Archimsndrate Sophrony (Sakharov), founder of the monastery, there will be a pilgrimage to the Monastery of St. John the Baptist in Essex.

- 09.00 - departure from the square in front of the Cathedral.

- 11.00 - arrival to the monastery.

            - moleben in the church;

            - requiem lithia in memory of Archimandrite Sophrony (Sakharov) in the crypte;

            - tea in the refectory;

            - tour of the monastery.

Return to London will be no later than 7 pm.

Coast of the Pilgrimage is £20.

PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY LAND 7-15 DECEMBER, 2013

On the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Elisey, a pilgrimage to the Holy Land will be organised from 7-th to 15-th, December 2013. 

Departure from London Heathrow Airport, Terminal 1, will be on Saturday 7 December at 10.30 pm, arriving to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel-Aviv at 05.20 am.  The flight is operated by El Al Airlines.

El Al return flight from Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv) will be on Sunday 15, December at 9.05 am, arriving to London Heathrow at 12.35 pm.

Estimated cost of the trip:

- air ticket - £ 470;

- stay in the Holy Land -  $ 660 (USA Dollars).

The cost includes:

- bus transfers to all sites;

- meals (breakfast, packed lunch and dinner) and accommodation in the Gornensky Monastery of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, hotel in Tiberias;

- fees for visiting sites (where applicable) and coach driver’s tips.
