The right of Christians to wear the cross has been lately amply discussed in the UK and Russia. The discussion was caused by the article "Christians have no right to wear cross at work, says Government" published by "The Daily Telegraph"on 12th March 2012
The annual Pan-Orthodox Vespers this year took place at the Georgian Orthodox Cathedral of the Nativity of the Lord, Rookwood Rd N16 6SS, on Sunday 4th March at 6pm.
The services of the first week of Great Lent are being celebrated in their fullness at the Cathedral.
With the blessing of Archbishop Elisey, on 8th January, the Sunday after the Nativity of Christ, a charity performance of “In the Light of the Christmas Star” was staged by the children's parish school of the Dormition Cathedral in London.
On 8th January, the Sunday after Christmas and the feast of the Synaxis of the Mother of God, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Parish of St Silouan the Athonite in Southampton (Deanery of South-East England).

On Saturday 31st January, after the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh led the traditional New Year Moleben and greeted the congregation
On 29th December 2011, the final meeting of the Parish Assembly of the Dormition Cathedral for last year took place.
On the feast of St Nicholas, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh presided at the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
On December 17, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh presided at celebrations marking the tenth anniversary of St Nicholas Stavropegic parish of the Russian Orthodox Church in Reykjavik, Iceland.
On December 13th in Pushkin House, London, an exhibition of icons entitled "The Star of Bethlehem", opened. The exhibition has been prepared by the Prosopon School of Iconography.
On 12th December, a play was presented at the Russian Embassy in London entitled "And then they came for you".
On Sunday 11th December, Archbishop Elisey visited the Parish of St Ephraim the Syrian in Cambridge (East of England) and celebrated the Divine Liturgy together with the clergy of the Parish: Archpriest Raphael Armour, Rector, Priest Evgeny Selensky, deacon Nicholas Mogan, and Archdeacon Dmitry Nedostupenko, cleric of the London Dormition Cathedral.
On Saturday 10th December, Archbishop Elisey celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the newly established Parish of the Meeting of the Lord in the Temple in Bradford (North of England) for the first time.

On Sunday 27 November the wonder-working icon of the Mother of God "Surety of Sinners" visited the parish of St. Nicholas at Oxford.
On Saturday 26 November the wonder-working icon of the Mother of God "Surety of Sinners" was brought for veneration to the Cathedral of the Holy Mother of God and the Holy Royal Martyrs in Chiswick (ROCOR).
On November 26, the fifth anniversary of the episcopal consecration of Archbishop Elisey, a solemn Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Dormition Cathedral of the Diocese of Sourozh in honour of the arrival in London of the wonder-working icon of the Mother of God "Surety of Sinners".
