The Distance Theological Courses at the Spiritual and Educational Center of St. Genevieve of Paris are now enrolling students for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The courses are aimed at meeting the needs of Orthodox dioceses and communities in Western Europe. They offer distance religious and theological education to candidates for the clergy and laypeople preparing to teach in parish schools, in catechetical and missionary courses, and to those heading youth and other parish associations. The courses are designed to enhance students' knowledge of Holy Scripture, Orthodox theology, Church history, and liturgical practice.
The courses are open to Orthodox Christian men and women aged 20 to 60 who have completed secondary education.
The courses are taught remotely, allowing you to:
- communicate with teachers, classmates, and the administrator via the distance learning system (in various modes);
- complete training entirely remotely;
- study using the modern Moodle distance learning system, used by many educational institutions worldwide;
- have continuous access to course materials, allowing you to study at your convenience.
Applicants for the Theological Courses must submit the following documents:
- Upload a completed application form;
- Your photo (electronic);
- Letter of motivation;
- Copy of passport;
- A copy of your education document(s);
- A letter of recommendation from a parish priest or organization sending you for the course (preferred).
Admission to the Theological Courses doesn't require entrance examinations, and is done by the decision of the Director of the Theological Courses.
The administrative fee for tuition is €500 per year. Payment can be made per semester (€250) or per year. If two or more members of the same family enroll in the Theological Courses, the administrative fee per year is €400 (€200 per semester) for each student.
