On September 11, 2026, the feast of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist, the Prophet, Forerunner, and Baptist of the Lord, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Dormition Cathedral in London.

His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England; Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh; Archpriest Nikita Kozlov; Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch; and Protodeacon Ioann Sylnik.

The liturgical hymns were performed by the Dormition Cathedral Choir under the direction of Anna Kobrina.

During the Litany of Fervent Supplication, special petitions were offered for those addicted to alcohol and drugs. Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko offered a prayer for those suffering from alcoholism or drug addiction.

Following the prayer after the communion, the Archpastor and concelebrating clergy performed a prayerful hymn before the icon of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist.

Following the divine service, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch read out His Holiness Patriarch Kirill's address on the occasion of Temperance Day in Russian and English.
