« Bishop Matthew of Sourozh Arrives in New York  »

On August 22, 2026, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Acting Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States and Canada, arrived in New York.
The Archpastor led the all-night vigil at St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral.
The divine service was held on the eve of the 12th Sunday after Pentecost and the feast day of the Hieromartyr Protopresbyter Alexander Khotovitsky. This year marks the 90th anniversary of the martyrdom of the first rector and builder of this church. Bishop Matthew was assisted by cathedral clergy.
After the Gospel reading, Bishop Matthew anointed the parishioners with blessed oil. During his visit, Bishop Matthew will celebrate a number of services in the United States and hold working meetings with clergy and laity.
