« Bishop Matthew of Sourozh's visit to the West Coast of the United States concludes »

On May 5, 2026, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Acting Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States and Canada, visited St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in San Francisco before departing for Canada.

After praying by the cathedral's relics, His Grace discussed current issues of parish life with the cathedral's sacristan, Priest Mikhail Kozyrev, Dean of the Western States Parishes, and inspected the renovations to the cathedral's first floor and refectory.

The Archpastor highly praised the efforts of Father Mikhail and his assistants and expressed gratitude for the preparation of his visit to the parishes of the Western States. In turn, Father Mikhail thanked Bishop Matthew for his paternal attention to the life of the parish and deanery, prayerfully wishing for God's help in continuing his archpastoral visit to the North American continent.
