On April 5, 2026, on Palm Sunday, the Feast of the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Archpriest Dmitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Archpriest Nikita Kozlov, Priest Vasily Gandzyuk, Priest Alexander Kapustin, Priest Sergiy Sokolovsky, Protodeacon Ioann Sylnyk, and Deacon Viktor Nikiforov.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the Dormition Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov. After the litany of fervent supplication, Bishop Matthew offered a prayer for peace.
Following the prayer after the communion, the Archpastor performed a prayerful hymn before the icon of the Lord's Entry into Jerusalem, and the cathedral clergy sprinkled the willow branches brought by parishioners.
Finally, Bishop Matthew addressed the clergy and parishioners with words of sermon and spiritual edification. Simultaneous translation into English was provided by Alexander Selegenev.
Bishop Matthew warmly congratulated the cathedral's churchwarden, E.N. Poplavskaya, on her birthday, thanked her for her diligent work for the good of the Holy Church, and presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
