« On the eve of the 4th Sunday of Great Lent, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at Dormition Cathedral in London »

On the evening of March 21, 2026, on the eve of the 4th Sunday of Great Lent, the feast of St. John of the Ladder, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England; Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh; Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch; Protodeacon Ioann Sylnik; and Deacon Sergei Sokolovsky.
The Cathedral choir, under the direction of Anna Kobrina, performed the liturgical hymns.
During the polyeleos, a reliquary containing great Christian relics - a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos, and particles of the holy relics of God's chosen saints - was brought from the altar to the center of the church.
At Matins, after the Gospel reading, Bishop Matthew anointed the clergy and worshippers with holy oil.
