14-02-2026 On the evening of February 14, 2026, on the eve of the Feast of the Meeting of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Meatfare Sunday, and the Last Judgment, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the all-night vigil at Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Vitaly Polischuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England, Archpriest Nikita Kozlov, Priest Alexander Kapustin, and Protodeacon Ioann Sylnik.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the Dormition Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
During Vespers, the Archpastor performed the litiya with the blessing of the five loaves of bread, wine, and oil.
During the polyeleos, a reliquary containing great Christian relics—a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos, and particles of the holy relics of God's chosen saints—was brought from the altar to the center of the church.
At Matins, after the reading of the Gospel, Bishop Matthew anointed the clergy and worshippers with blessed oil.
