On October 4, 2026, on the 18th Sunday after Pentecost, the leave-taking of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Life-Giving Cross, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Dormition Cathedral in London.

His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky; Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England; Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh; Archpriest Nikita Kozlov; Priest Alexander Kapustin; Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch; Protodeacon Ioann Sylnik; and Deacon Nikolai Makarov.

The liturgical hymns were performed by the Dormition Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.

Following the litany of fervent supplication, Bishop Matthew offered a prayer for the granting of peace.

Following the Prayer behind the Ambo, the Archpastor and concelebrating clergy performed the glorification and veneration of the Cross of the Lord.

At the conclusion of the divine service, Bishop Matthew addressed the parishioners with words of sermon and spiritual edification. Simultaneous translation into English was provided by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.

Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, on behalf of the clergy, staff, and parishioners of the church, warmly congratulated His Grace Bishop Matthew on the 28th anniversary of his priestly ordination, which the Archpastor celebrates today, and presented Bishop Matthew with a holy prosphora and a bouquet of flowers as a token of gratitude.
